Denying media reports which claimed that the Hindi version of ÂYe Maaya Chesave has been dropped due to unavoidable reasons, Gautham Vasudev Menon has said the project is on.
ÂWe are now on a small break as Prateik Babbar (the protagonist) is busy promoting his ÂDhobhi Ghat (produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Kiran Rao), which is hitting screens in January, the director said.
He added: ÂAlso, Amy Jackson (of ÂMadraspattinamÂ(Tamil) fame) is learning Hindi by attending coaching classes to get her act right while standing in front of the camera for the Bollywood version of YMC.Â
Saying that she would come to India once the shooting dates are confirmed, the filmmaker said ÂYMCÂ is one of the films which is very close to his heart. In the meantime, GauthamÂs directorial venture ÂNadunisi NaaigalÂ(Tamil) and production venture ÂVeppamÂ(Tamil) are getting ready for release.
